Neil Cobbold – co-owner and director
When not at work I am very much a family man with a wife and two young daughters who, no doubt, will keep me occupied (and broke) for many, many years to come!
I joined Grafton Jones in the summer of 2004, having previously worked with Roger at a practice in Bristol and recently became co-owner of the business
I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and have worked in tax for over 25 years. In that time I have gained experience and knowledge in many different aspects of taxation and business generally. While my area of speciality lies in personal and business tax, I have found that where one tax is found, another one (or two) normally follow, so over the years I have accumulated a depth of knowledge relating to many areas of business.
I have supported Roger in the development of the practice for many years; my commitment to Grafton Jones lies in continuing to promote its growth.
Whenever and wherever possible my vice is to get out on two wheels (the pedal variety). I make no claims to be the fastest or best - my moment of glory was winning my club’s ‘Hardriders’ trophy some years ago: a triumph of determination and persistence over skill, speed and technique!
And last but by no means least, is what has been the love of my life for as long as I can remember – West Ham United - and being a ‘glass half full’ type of person this has helped over the many years of suffering I have had to endure!
